The 2021 vintage of our Articondo is a cuveé of four of the five red wine varietals that we grow on our Estate in Santa Ynez and is a true testament to the classic Bordeaux blend profile. This wine is fondly named after Articondo Grassini, the first member of the Grassini family to emigrate from Pisa, Italy.

"Equipo" is the Spanish term for "team," and we are fortunate to have had the same team ever since we first planted our vines.  As an homage to them, we allocated a portion of our vineyard to our “equipo,” and gave them full control over that section. The crew is entrusted with farming decisions regarding irrigation, fertilization, pest control, pruning and everything else Mother Nature might throw at them! A portion of the profits are given back to the team as a small token of our appreciation for all that they do.

NEW RELEASE! Our 2021 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon boasts a truly captivating nose, inviting you with its vibrant bouquet of wild blueberries and ripe plums. This aromatic symphony is further enriched by hints of lavender, anise, and cinnamon, which lend an elegant complexity to this wine.

While Merlot accounts for only 3.75% of our total planted acreage, it has claimed a much larger piece of our hearts! With only 1.28 acres producing this remarkable grape, this wine is sure to remain highly allocated. This is an elegant and mindful wine which showcases the true characteristics of the Merlot varietal but is also a Merlot that any Cab drinker will appreciate and enjoy!

A remarkable glimpse into the unique nature of our estate vineyard, this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is harvested exclusively from our favored hilltop vines. Rooted in luscious, calcium-rich soil, these vines boast grapes of an elevated quality which offer an even more refined flavor profile.

In contrast to the other Sauvignon Blanc wines we produce, our Reserve Sauvignon Blanc is aged in a variety of French Oak barrels rather than stainless steel. By incorporating oak barrels of varying age, this wine is able to acquire a more substantial body while developing complex flavors all while maintaining the brightness associated with Sauvignon Blanc.

NEW RELEASE! Distinct from our other Sauvignon Blanc offerings, our Reserve Sauvignon Blanc is aged in French oak barrels, diverging from the typical stainless steel approach. This method, utilizing barrels of various ages, imparts a richer body and an array of complex flavors while preserving the signature brightness of Sauvignon Blanc.

We are thrilled to share our seventh vintage of our much beloved Afiora Rosé. Composed entirely of Cabernet Sauvignon from our estate in Santa Ynez, we have fondly named this wine “Afiora,” as a tribute to Larry Grassini’s great-grandmother, Afiora Grassini. Afiora and her husband, Articondo, were the first members of the Grassini family to leave Pisa, Italy to start a new life in America.

The Happy Canyon AVA is blessed with characteristics of both warm and cool climates. Our AVA is home to the warmest microclimate in the Santa Ynez Valley.
